CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS BEACONSFIELD

Our first project is a trail of mosaics that will thank our key workers for their service during the Covid 19 pandemic. They will feature colourful designs like angel wings, rainbows and doves to demonstrate our gratitude for their contribution to our community.       We chose mosaics because they are a very collaborative art form and will enable full participation of the Beaconsfield community.   This trail will be the first major piece of community art ever undertaken  by the town.   We will launch with a large mosaic at the new medical centre which will house many of the town’s medical key workers.   Workshops will take place throughout the Summer.  We’re going into schools and working with churches, sport clubs, local groups and care homes.       Many hundreds of residents will help make this art to our medical workers, teaching staff, supermarket staff, postmen and women, bin men, bankers and many more.   The project will initially be overseen by Maud Milton who has over 20 years of delivering community led mosaics. She works for TFL (Transport for London) and will help ensure a very high quality of work. She will provide the guidance to enable us to involve our community.  

The vision is to boost the local creative arts scene. We hope to produce and deliver textile, music, drama and literary events in the future. We welcome local participation and welcome residents into our group.
